  6. This diskette contains a sample version of the odbc Sniffer application from
  7. Blue Lagoon Software.  This application is designed to assist developers in
  8. developing Windows based front-ends using ODBC.
  9.  
  10. All applications which act as database Server front-ends communicate with
  11. the database Server through an ODBC client driver.  Although development
  12. environments such as Microsoft Visual Basic and Microsoft Access
  13. allow the programmer to code to a higher level API, these APIs in turn call
  14. functions in an ODBC client driver.  The purpose of this utility is to SNIFF
  15. all ODBC functions and provide feedback to you the programmer so you can
  16. quickly find your programming errors.

  18. Included in this ZIP archive are the files needed to install and execute
  19. the sample version of odbc Sniffer, this readme file, and a Word for Windows V2.0
  20. version of the odbc Sniffer product information document.
