  17. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  20. 1.  Use Windows Write to read (or print out) the 
  21.     FieldPack User's Manual: FLDPAK12.WRI.
  22.  
  23. 2.  Read the FieldPack software license, which follows 
  24.     these general instructions.
  25.  
  26. 3.  Copy the file FLDPAK12.DLL into your Windows directory.
  27.  
  28. 4.  To run the demo program FPDEMO1, first copy the file
  29.     FPDEMO1.MDB into the root directory of your C: drive; 
  30.     then load FPDEMO1.MAK into Visual Basic and run it.
  31.  
  32. 5.  To run the demo program FPDEMO2, load FPDEMO2.MAK into 
  33.     Visual Basic and run it.
  34.  
  35. 6.  We hope you will also use Windows Write to read (or 
  36.     print out) the file VBISAM.WRI.

  42. The UNREGISTERED version of FieldPack produces a registration 
  43. advisory message.  When you pay a registration fee to Software 
  44. Source, you receive a registration password.  When you use this 
  45. password, the messages are suppressed, and that copy of FieldPack 
  46. is considered REGISTERED.

  48. You may freely copy and distribute the UNREGISTERED version of 
  49. FieldPack, provided that you (1) don't modify it, (2) distribute 
  50. all of its components, including this license text, and (3) don't 
  51. charge more than a reasonable media and/or shipping/handling fee.

  53. You may freely use the UNREGISTERED version of FieldPack in your 
  54. application software development, and distribute its DLL as 
  55. described in the documentation, provided that you don't modify 
  56. the DLL or do anything else to suppress or modify its registration 
  57. advisory messages.

  59. You ABSOLUTELY MAY NOT use any FieldPack registration password 
  60. except one you rightfully obtained by paying a registration fee 
  61. to Software Source.  These passwords, and their security, are 
  62. extremely valuable to Software Source, and therefore WE WILL 
  63. PROSECUTE anyone who doesn't use all best efforts to keep passwords 
  64. secret.

  66. You may freely use your REGISTERED version of FieldPack in your 
  67. application software development, and distribute its DLL as 
  68. described in the documentation, provided that you don't modify 
  69. the DLL, and further provided that the software you create using 
  70. FieldPack isn't competitive with FieldPack itself.
