- Tom,
-
- Windows 3.1 now includes direct support for the TI MicroLaser PS35. Have you
- considered moving forward instead of backward?
-
- To download the PS header automatically, there should be an option in the
- driver's setup dialog for sending the header with each job. This is true for
- the MS PSCRIPT driver, however, I don't know about your TI drivers. You might
- also want to contact TI at 1-800-232-3200 to see if they have any updated
- Windows 3.0 drivers or other information about using the PS35.
-
- You mention that your other problem had something to do with the printer
- buffer size. What kind of buffer are you using? Try removing this buffer and
- connecting the printer directly to your computer. Let me know what happens.
-
- The "cannot print to LPT1" could be caused by not enough memory, since you are
- getting this when running without a memory manager. Do you normally use a
- memory manager? Which one? This particular error can also be caused by not
- having a TEMP environment variable set to a valid drive and path or by not
- having enough free disk space in the directory pointed to by the TEMP
- variable. Check your autoexec.bat file to see if you have a SET TEMP=
- pointing to a valid drive/directory.
-
- Another thing to try is to print to LPT1.OS2 (in Control Panel/Printers/
- Connect).
-
- Let me know if any of these makes a difference.
