  7. INFORMATION:   A customer had the following in his LOGIN script:

  9.                    machine=station
  10.                    write "%MACHINE"
  11.  
  12.                The two "machines" are not the same.  The first is a DOS 
  13.                function call and the second is the long machine name 
  14.                defined in SHELL.CFG, which defaults to IBM_PC.

  16.                The customer wanted to set the machine to the connection 
  17.                number and he expected to write that connection # to the 
  18.                user.  It will not work this way.
