  8. GENERAL INFORMATION  : I received an interesting bit of information on the NEC
  9. P9XL printer that might help customers when configuring it as a com or lpt 
  10. printer.

  12. The printer has five configuration swiches found in the same locality on the 
  13. printer (found on the front or back side).  And there are two additional 
  14. switches residing about four inches just above the first five.  These two
  15. switches are hidden a plastic cover.

  17. The NEC P9XL printer manuals do not mention the two hidden switches, but they 
  18. are very important because they determine whether the printer will print in 
  19. serial mode or parallel mode.  It is fairly self-explanatory as to how the 
  20. switches work.
