- GENERAL INFORMATION : Some Windows 3.0 users are having problems with cards
- that use IRQ 2 or 9 or a base memory address of D000.
-
- Interrupt problem:
-
- Use another interrupt OR apply the patch which replaces VPIC.386 with the
- VPICDA.386 file. This can be easily accomplished by using the INSTALL
- program included with the DOS 3.01 shell download from NetWire.
-
- Base Memory problem:
-
- 1. Open system.ini with a text editor
- 2. Find the [386enh] section
- 3. Add the EMMExclude setting to specify a range of memory addressess
- between D000:0 and DFFF:F. It looks like this: EMMExclude=D000-DFFF
- 4. Save your system.ini file.
- 5. Exit and restart windows.
