  8. GENERAL INFORMATION  : The user is instructed to run SHELL to generate a
  9. shell.  The batch file SHELL.BAT calls SHGEN.  In the command, the @ symbol
  10. is used to suppress echo of the statement.  This @ command is supported in
  11. DOS 3.3 and above, but produces "Bad command or file name" when running
  12. DOS 3.1x or DOS 3.2x.  The customer should either edit the batch file or
  13. execute the SHGEN command from the DOS prompt without the @ symbol.
