  6. PROBLEM:       A customer was using Everex Excel stream 60 v4.08 and
  7.                running the backup program Novinfo-f.  Part way through the
  8.                execution, he would receive the error "You have exceeded
  9.                your outstanding NCP search limit".  Everex was not aware of
  10.                any problem.

  12. SOLUTION:      Set the maximum outstanding NCP search limits = 100
  13.                (approximately).  See page 323 of the NetWare 386 v3.1
  14.                System Administration manual.  Range = 10 to 1000.  Default
  15.                = 51.

  17. COMMENTS:      The question is, how will this affect your system?  The
  18.                formula to calculate RAM usage is: 
  19.  
  20.                24,000 X (Max ONCP Searches/1000) X Number of Workstations
  21.                The file NCPLIM.ZIP on NetWire lib 16 should also help with
  22.                this message.
