- PROBLEM: A customer was running the NetWare for Macintosh and
- experienced some strange problems. When he tried to copy a
- file from a Mac to his file server, it would drag the file
- server icon into the trash and log him out. The file server
- utilization would shoot up to over ninety percent for
- several minutes, then drop down to normal. When he copied a
- file from the file server to the Mac, it worked fine.
-
- He also copied the same file to an AppleShare file server he
- happened to have there and it worked fine. He would then
- drag that file from the AppleShare file server to the
- NetWare file server and it would take the file fine.
-
- SOLUTION: He was running the Mac and PSERVER VAPs on his file server.
- First, he needed to make sure he was using the Mac VAP v2.0.
- The Mac VAP v1.1 has problems working with the PSERVER VAP.
- Second, he needed to run the patch in VAPVOL.ZIP on NetWire
- (library 8).
