-
- PROBLEM: A customer was receiving a GPI error at file server when
- running FCONSOLE disk statistics. Also, running DISK at the
- console would send the file server a GPI error.
-
- Configuration: IBM PS/2 Model 80
- Two regular Token-Ring adapters
- Two 380MB ESDI drives
- Running NetWare 2.15c.
- The file server has three file service
- processes (FSPs).
-
- This site had several other file servers with the same
- configuration that had four FSPs. We had the customer run
- the PROCES.ARC patch and that did not seem to work. He went
- into NETGEN and found that Hot Fix was not set up properly;
- the logical size was the same as the physical. He made the
- logical size smaller to increase the Hot Fix area. This
- seemed to take care of the problem. FCONSOLE and the
- console DISK command works fine now.
-
- SOLUTION: Set up Hot Fix correctly, so that the logical size is
- smaller than physical size of the drive.
