- PROBLEM: Using NetWare 286 (ELS I and II, Advanced, and SFT):
-
- If you down an operating system using the ISADISK driver
- v2.04 with open files and halt the network with I/O Pending
- around 10 (plus or minus 2 or 3), the server will display
- the message "General protection Interrupt" (GPI). Then,
- when you bring the server back up, you will get FAT "data
- mirror mismatch" errors.
-
- SOLUTION: These errors are not fatal and can be corrected by the
- system or by running VREPAIR. Higher and lower I/O Pending
- counts will not cause GPIs and FAT errors; the system closes
- the files before halting. Although not critical, this may
- cause problems when using a UPS. It has been reported to
- Engineering.
-
- Note: Only v2.04 of the ISADISK was tested but this may
- also occur with earlier versions of ISADISK (or ATDISK).
