- 3-110 Hang Problem
-
- APPLIES TO: Access Server Version 1.01
-
- SUPERSEDES: NA
-
- DATE: 5/90
-
- PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
- Access Server hangs, the keyboard locks up and a reboot is required.
-
- RESOLUTION:
- 1) Check for cable breaks and/or configuration errors.
-
- 2) Some Terminate and Stay Resident (TSR) programs are incompatible with
- Access Server. If a TSR is being used which is not certified in "Rules of
- Thumb" the TSR should be removed to see if it is the cause of the problem.
-
- 3) If Access Server is configured to keep a log, the log is saved in a 24K
- file named NASAUDIT. NASAUDIT is updated each time a remote user makes a
- connection to the Access Server. Access Server will lock up when trying to
- update a full NASAUDIT file. To overcome this problem:
- a. Delete entries from the NASAUDIT file that are no longer needed.
- b. Disable NASAUDIT in Access Server's NASGEN program if call logging
- is not required.
