  3. Subject: Operation of the Logitech Mice with IBM DOS 4.00
  4.  
  5. Symptom: Mouse not responding
  6.  
  7. Solution:
  8.         After installing IBM DOS 4.00 on your computer, you end up with new 
  9.         AUTOEXEC.BAT file at the root directory and DOSSHELL.BAT file in the 
  10.         \DOS directory.
  11.         
  12.         In order to be able to use the Logitech mice with the mouse driver 
  13.         loaded in memory you have to modify both the AUTOEXEC.BAT and 
  14.         DOSSHELL.BAT files.
  15.         
  16.         With a simple text editor, open the DOSSHELL.BAT file and look for 
  17.         this statement:
  18.         @SHELLC /MOS:driver.MOS/TRAN/COLOR/ etc.......            
  19.             (where driver can be PCIBMDRV, PCMSDRV, or PCMSPDRV)
  20.         delete the following string "/MOS:driver.MOS" from the @SHELLC 
  21.         statement, leave the rest as is.
  22.         
  23.         Next, modify your AUTOEXEC.BAT file to include the \MOUSE 
  24.         sub-directory in the PATH and add MOUSE, MENU, and CLICK before 
  25.         loading DOSSHELL.
  26.         
  27.         You will then be able to use the Logitech Mouse inside and outside 
  28.         the DOS Shell.
  29.
