- The menu on the left of your screen is the list of choices
- you can make while running sPORTt. Press a function key to make
- your selection.

- F2- Port Toggles the port number between COM1 and COM2.

- F3- Options Set the communication options to agree with those of your
- external device. Use <RIGHT-ARROW> or <LEFT-ARROW> to toggle
- values. Press <ESC> to go back to what you were doing without
- making any changes. Press <F10> to save your change. You must
- set these correctly in order to succesfully transmit or receive.

- F4- RTS Toggles power on or off RTS, which is pin 4 on a 25-pin
- serial connector or pin 7 on a 9-pin connector.

- F5- DTR Toggles power on or off DTR which is pin 20 on a 25-pin
- serial connector or pin 4 on a 9-pin connector.

- F6- ASCII Changes the format of the data (both incoming and outgoing)
- in the communication display window from ASCII to decimal to
- hexidecimal to binary and back to ASCII.

- F7- Send Asks you the name of a disk file which you wish to send
- from your computer. Once sPORTt locates the file, it is trans-
- mitted automatically. You can close the file at any time during
- transmission by pressing <F7> again and then <F2>.

- F8- Capture Asks you for a name of a disk file in which to save data
- transmitted to your computer. When the transmission is complete
- the file remains open for more until you close it by pressing
- <F8> again and then <F2>.

- F9- Handshaking When you are sending to another device, it may have the
- capability of shutting down one of the lines, DSR, CD, or CTS
- when its buffer gets full. If you know which pin it is, select
- it by pressing <F9> and sPORTt will pause when the pin goes off
- and start again when the pin goes on again. Experiment. The
- asterisk points to the handshaking line to be used.
