- The communications options include baud rate, word length,
- parity, and number of stop bits. You must set these in sPORTt
- to agree with those required by your external device.

- Here's how to set the values. Use the <LEFT-ARROW> or
- <RIGHT-ARROW> to change the values. Press <ENTER> when you see
- the value you want and the cursor will move to the next item.
- Pressing <F10> at any time saves any changes you have made to
- the communications options and returns to what you were doing.
- Press <ESC> to return to what you were doing without saving any
- changes.

- baud rate This is the speed at which data transmission occurs. Pick
- 150, 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, or 19200. This number
- must agree with the setting on your external device.

- data bits The number of bits in each data byte. Select 7 or 8.

- parity Select no parity, even parity, odd parity, space or mark.

- stop bits Choose 1 or 2.
