  4. LGIF (LaserGIF) takes standard .gif files and prints them using
  5. halftoning to a Hewlett Packard LaserJet series II printer.  It
  6. uses a 5x5 or 5x6 pixel matrix for every pixel in the .gif file
  7. after converting from rgb to grey-scale.  It may also blow the
  8. image up by 2x.

  10.         320x200     5x6 (31 shades) after scaling 2x
  11.         640x400     5x6 (31 shades)
  12.         640x480     5x5 (26 shades)
  13.  
  14. For other sizes, if width less than 640 then scale 2x.  If scaled
  15. height less than 480 then use 5x6 matrix else use 5x5.

  17. Typical prints take about 3 minutes on a 386/20 so it's a bit of a pig ...
