  17. FAST START:
  18.  
  19. If you're like me, you won't actually read the manual.  You can get going
  20. quickly by creating a directory on your hard disk and copying ENVLJ.EXE
  21. and ENVLJ.HLP into it.  Make it your current directory and type ENVLJ to
  22. get rolling.

  24. For example:
  25.  
  26.    MD \UTILS\ENV
  27.    COPY ENVLJ.* \UTILS\ENV
  28.    COPY ENVMM.* \UTILS\ENV
  29.    COPY 
  30.    CD \UTILS\ENV
  31.    ENVLJ
  32.    
  33. Once in the program, follow the on screen instructions to add your return
  34. address to the data file.  Then, press F3 to select an envelope definition
  35. that matches your envelope and printer.  At any time, you can press ALT-H
  36. for help.

  38. IF YOU HAVE A LASERJET IIP or are using the envelope tray for the Series II:
  39.  
  40.    You need to use the additional setup string to adjust the printer's
  41.    default margin in order to print at the top of the envelope.  Press
  42.    F6 to get to the printer configuration menu and enter the following in
  43.    the Additional Setup String field:
  44.    
  45.       ~&l0E
  46.  
  47.    (Note:  That's a lower case L followd by a zero.)
  48.    
  49.    Then, press ENTER, ESC, and select SAVE.
  50.    
  51.    This will align the first printable line (line 1) with the top edge of
  52.    the envelope.

  58.            printer options were saved.  Then, Manual and Landscape flags
  59.            were confused.  Fixed mixup.
