  14.            Following is a list of products available from S.H. Moody &
  15.       Associates.  All programs require an IBM PC, AT or close compatible
  16.       with at least 525K memory installed.  Programs are only available on
  17.       5.25 inch 360K floppy diskettes and contain complete documentation on
  18.       the disk.  I do not charge for shipping within the U.S.  For delivery
  19.       outside the U.S., add $5.00.

  22.       LJ2DESK   Converts LaserJet downloadable portrait soft fonts to
  23.                 DeskJet format.  Converts all fonts up to the hardware limit
  24.                 of the DeskJet (a shade less than 24 points).  DeskJet fonts
  25.                 produced by LJ2DESK support half-height printing, draft mode
  26.                 printing and half and double pitch.  The fonts also contain
  27.                 the DeskJet memory requirements information which is printed
  28.                 by DJWIDTH.  All DeskJet characters are exact dot matches of
  29.                 their LaserJet counterpart.  Fixed width fonts space the
  30.                 same as in the LaserJet; proportional font spacing normally
  31.                 differs slightly from its LaserJet counterpart due to
  32.                 hardware differences between the two printers.

  34.       DJWIDTH   Reads any DeskJet soft font and prints a width table for
  35.                 each character in the font.  This information is needed in
  36.                 order to obtain proper spacing by your word processor. 
  37.                 Without correct width information your word processor cannot
  38.                 properly center or justify text.
  39.  
  40.       DESKVIEW  (Requires EGA)  Displays magnified DeskJet soft font
  41.                 characters on-screen, maintaining the correct height and
  42.                 width proportions of the printed character.  Also displays
  43.                 font information (name, typeface, spacing, symbol set,
  44.                 height in points, pitch, baseline distance, x-height etc.)
  45.                 and character data (character number, size, width, left and
  46.                 right padding).  This program lets you look "inside" your
  47.                 DeskJet fonts to understand why the printed output looks the
  48.                 way it does.

  50.       FONTFIX   This program reads LaserJet soft fonts, cleans out
  51.                 superfluous characters within the font and non-font escape
  52.                 commands like those which set a font ID number or make a
  53.                 font permanent/temporary or primary/secondary.  Also allows
  54.                 the user to reset the baseline or x-height of a font.  This
  55.                 program is especially useful for those who plan to convert
  56.                 LaserJet fonts to DeskJet format since the program also
  57.                 eliminates non-dot rows and columns from each character and
  58.                 resets the cell width and height of the font (the "cell" is
  59.                 a rectangle within which all characters in a font will fit) 
  60.                 This may allow a font which otherwise would be too big for
  61.                 the DeskJet to be processed by LJ2DESK.  Finally, many
  62.

  65.                 public domain LaserJet fonts are technically flawed
  66.                 internally.  Although the LaserJet printer is very tolerant
  67.                 of these technical errors, The DeskJet is not always as
  68.                 tolerant, and the LJ2DESK program may reject these flawed
  69.                 fonts.  FONTFIX normally can fix these flaws such that the
  70.                 font can be converted to DeskJet format.

  72.       LJROTATE  This program reads a LaserJet Portrait soft font file and
  73.                 creates a LaserJet Landscape file or vice-versa.  If you
  74.                 DeskJet owners have a favorite LaserJet font only in
  75.                 Landscape, this program will create its Portrait counterpart
  76.                 which you can then process using LJ2DESK and thus have
  77.                 available for your DeskJet.

  79.       LJWIDTH   This program is similar to DJWIDTH above (except that the
  80.                 LaserJet memory requirement is not included in the font
  81.                 header) but prints width tables for LaserJet fonts.
