  4. This version of BitFont has been more thoroughly tested and debugged than
  5. others, made more user friendly, and has several additional features.
  6. Over the past year, BitFont 5.0 and above have not been made available
  7. for free distribution.  I have decided to again allow it to be freely
  8. distributed, including bulletin boards.  The only difference in the
  9. present BF513.EXE file and the former file of the same name is the
  10. message on the initial screen regarding distribution and copying.

  12. I am no longer providing printed documentation.  The BF513.DOC file
  13. provided has been formatted with Epson FX-85 printer control codes.

  15. Included are are some BFC files, provided by Jonathan Paradise, for the
  16. Panasonic 24-pin printer.  They are not mentioned in the documentation,
  17. and I have not personally tested them.

  19. I have added a Cyrillic (Russian) HP laserjet font CYR12RB0.CYP, which
  20. you may use or modify as you wish.

  22. Answer to a frequently asked question:
  23. Although I tried to make it a very adaptable program, BitFont
  24. is not reasonably capable of handling HP DeskJet or GEM fonts, due
  25. to their unusual font formats.
