  5.                                    DESCRIPTION

  7.      The WD1007A-WAH controller interfaces up to two ESDI Winchester disk 
  8.      drives with IBM PC/AT and compatibles.  Look-ahead caching and 1:1 
  9.      interleave significantly improve data through-put and reduce disk 
  10.      access time.  The feature 1 (F001) version includes the optional BIOS 
  11.      which features shadow RAM.  This shadow RAM feature allows the WFDC 
  12.      to interface with all types of ESDI drives without modifying the 
  13.      system BIOS.  Option jumpers allow the BIOS to be mapped at one of 
  14.      four address ranges.
