- DOCUMENTATION FILE ------------ SPACECHK Version 2.0
-
- SPACECHK provides a bar-graph display of the disk drive storage in use. It
- provides a quick, visual indication of the space remaining. With color display
- systems, the bar graph goes from green, to yellow, to red as the space
- remaining diminishes.
-
- Additionally, starting with version 2.0, multiple drives may be plotted (up to
- 8) with an extra graph of total space used automatically plotted.
-
- COMPATIBILITY:
- DOS 3.3, 4.0 (Probably works with 2.0 and greater but it has only DOS 3.3
- and DOS 4.0 have been tested)
-
- INSTALLATION:
-
- This program may be run off of floppy or hard disk. For hard disk use, simply
- load it onto the desired directory.
-
- INVOCATION:
-
- SPACECHK X1 X2 X3 X4 X5 X6 X7 X8
-
- Where "Xn" are the drives to be scanned (A,B,C,....Z)
- Note: Program will report discard any data
- beyond the first 8 values.
-
- Note: When no drive parameters are specified, the currently
- logged drive will be plotted.
-
- Up to 8 drives may be specified with the graphs for each drive plotted
- sequentially. When more that one drive is specified, an extra bar graph will
- be plotted to show the cumulative (summation) results of all drives specified.
- Note that the maximum size of the total drive space must be less than
- 1000 M Bytes.
-
- HINT:
- You may want to rename the file "S.EXE" to facilitate easy invocation;
- (e.g.: > S c d )
-
- This program is released into the public domain and no fees may be charged for
- its use or distribution. No warranty expressed or implied. I may be reached
- on the EXEC-PC bulletin board or my home address for comments, questions, or
- feedback.

-
- February 7, 1990 ---- Revision 1.2 (Thanks to Bill Hyland for Feedback)
- 1) Modified to work with DOS 4.0 and very large (>33 M Byte) drives
-
- February 12, 1990 --- Revision 2.0
- 1) Changed plotting format to facilitate multiple drives (up to 8)
- 2) "TOT" or cumulative drive plot automatically generated if the
- number of drives specified is greater than one (1).
- 3) Plotting format also shows date and time (useful for
- "Print Screen" hard copy records)
