  5. The AMST Screen Blanker blanks the screen of your computer after
  6. 5 minutes of no keyboard activity.  There are actually two
  7. programs in the set; ASB.COM, which is used for CGA/MDA monitors,
  8. and ASBE.COM, which is used for EGA type monitors.  Neither program
  9. has been tested on VGA monitors or on all types of CGA, MDA, or
  10. EGA monitors.

  12. To use either program, type:
  13.  
  14.            ASB
  15.        or  ASBE
  16.  
  17. from the DOS prompt, or include the command in a batch file like
  18. AUTOEXEC.BAT.  The program will display an installation message.
  19. After the screen blanks, any keypress will restore the screen.
  20. However, the key you press will be passed on to the currently
  21. running program, so it is suggested to use a non-action key, like
  22. [alt] to restore the screen.

  24. After the initial installation, you may temporarily disable the
  25. program by entering:
  26.  
  27.            ASB -
  28.         or ASBE -
  29.  
  30. Entering the original ASB or ASBE command again will re-enable the
  31. screen blanker.

  33. Neither program supports graphics modes, but you may disable the
  34. programs before entering graphics mode programs.  Also, some word
  35. processing programs rudely capture keyboard interrupts, and are
  36. not compatible with these screen blankers, so you should disable
  37. the blanker before entering these programs.
