  1.                       PC-Lock Version 1.1 Enhancements

  3. Prior to discussing enhancements, we would like to alert you to watch the BBS
  4. files section for the file PC-LOCK.BBS.  This file will announce the
  5. availability of the Johnson Computer Systems BBS.  Its purpose will be to
  6. provide support for PC-Lock and other products.  We currently plan to have
  7. this BBS active with a 30 Mb hard disk in approximately three weeks from this
  8. date (June 4, 1986).

  10. If you do not have PC-Lock version 1.0 installed on your hard disk, you may
  11. omit reading the rest of file and go directly to the PC-LOCK.DOC file.

  13. PC-Lock version 1.1 contains two enhancements not found in version 1.0.  The
  14. first of these allows PC-Lock to work with all known Western Digital hard 
  15. disk controllers.  Some Western Digital controllers contain a bug which 
  16. causes PC-Lock to fail.  The folks at Western Digital were most helpful in
  17. providing information on exactly what they were doing so that PC-Lock could
  18. be modified to avoid the problem.  They also indicated they were working with
  19. several other software vendors having the same basic problem with their
  20. controller.

  22. Secondly, a new utility, UNLOCK, has beed added which allows you to access
  23. your hard disk even when the system is booted from a floppy disk.  You must
  24. still know your password, however.  This utility is described in the file
  25. PC-LOCK.DOC.

  27. If you wish to install version 1.1, please use the DESTALL utility to remove
  28. version 1.0 from your computer PRIOR to installing version 1.1.

  30. Users who have registered their copies of PC-Lock 1.0 have or will receive
  31. a copy of version 1.1 in the mail.  Their license is automatically extended 
  32. cover version 1.1.  Thank you for your support.
