  13. The HDTEST.DOC, BOOTLOAD.DOC, and FIXFAT.DOC files are formatted to be printed 
  14. out on a (otherwise "dumb") printer which is capable of underlining by doing a 
  15. <CR> without a <LF> and overtyping - almost all modern printers can do (or 
  16. simulate) this. If you want to view the files in an editor and/or TYPE them to 
  17. the console, you will need to remove the underlining. To do this, simply give 
  18. the command "MAKETXT fname" (without the quotes, of course), replacing "fname" 
  19. with the name of the file you wish to convert. MAKETXT will read the fname.DOC 
  20. file (which it expects to find in the current directory) and write a second 
  21. file called fname.TXT, which can be edited or TYPEd without difficulty.

  23. Users of versions of HDTEST prior to V4.95 should see the "CHANGES FROM 
  24. PREVIOUS VERSIONS" section of the documentation. Users with Compaq hardware 
  25. should particularly note the new form of the /C command line option (/CQ) that 
  26. enables support of oversize (> 32Mb) disk partitions under Compaq DOS 3.31.
