  2.         Since the start of the Gulf crisis/war I have been trying 
  3.         to determine the numbers and types of wepons and troops
  4.         in the gulf region. The following listing is the what I
  5.         have come up with as of January the 20 in the AM. If you 
  6.         have other data please leave me mail.

  8.         Several sources have been used, most of which can 
  9.         different figues--some widely diffeent. I have done the 
  10.         best I could to get as close as possible to the actual 
  11.         figure.

  190.                         of 17.7 million this is unlikely since
  191.                         females do not serve in muslim armies;

  198. Missiles        300-800 Scud missile. It is estimated that there
  199.                 are  a number remaining in the low hundreds.

  202.                 additional mobile launchers for some time. These
  203.                 would likely be unusable after a few launches.
  204.                 (Standard Scud launchers must be overhauled/
  205.                 readjusted every 6-8 launches). Mobile Scud
  206.                 missiles are accompanied by command/control
  207.                 equipment meteological equipment for aiming,
  208.                 and a crane to fit missile plus support crew.
