  1. You too can get 400k from your 360k disk drives using normal disks!
  2. ===================================================================

  4. Follow these steps:
  5.  
  6. (1) Put the following line into your CONFIG.SYS
  7.             DEVICE=400KDISK.BIN D D
  8.     and then put the file 400kdisk.bin into your root directory on your
  9.     hard disk or on a floppy.
  10.  
  11. (2) Format disks using the program 400kform.com by typing this
  12.             400KFORM A:/E
  13.     This will format the disks in less than a minute to 400k
  14.  
  15. Now you are done, but you have to remember:
  16.  
  17.     If you have two floppies (A: and B:) and a hard disk (C:) like I do then:
  18.  
  19.       A: is the normal 360k floppy only
  20.       B: is the normal 360k floppy only
  21.       C: is the normal hard disk only
  22.   but D: is the 360k AND 400k floppy drive (it knows when to be 360k or 400k)
  23.   and E: is the 360k AND 400k floppy drive for B:

  25. if you have a different configuration than I do, then once you follow steps 1 and 2 and boot up, you can figure it out. Later !
