- This directory contains drivers for use on VersaCAD version
- 5.3/5.4 and VersaCAD 386 version 5.4. The directory should
- contain the following:

- o VCAD54B.COM - This driver supports 2 modes
- * 800x600 16-color
- * 1024x768 16-color - requires
- 512K of video memory (This
- mode is only for V4 board & up)
- o VCAD61B.EXE - This driver supports 3 modes
- * 640x400 256-color
- * 640x480 256-color - requires
- 512K of video memory
- * 800x600 256-color - requires
- 512K of video memory
- o VCAD65B.COM - 1024x768 16-color driver - requires
- 512K of video memory (This mode is
- for V3 board)
- o VCAD67B.COM - 1024x768 4-color driver
- o V386-61B.EXE - This driver for VersaCAD 386 only.
- The driver supports 3 modes
- * 640x400 256-color
- * 640x480 256-color - requires
- 512K of video memory
- * 800x600 256-color - requires
- 512K of video memory

- o FNT8X14.FNT - Font files for VCAD61B.EXE and
- FNT8X8.FNT V386-61B.EXE drivers.

- o VCADDRV.EXE - Drivers installation program. This
- program is started by the main program
- VDRIVER.EXE.

- o VCAD-B1.C53 - Configuration files for VersaCAD 5.3
- VCAD-B2.C53 initial set up.

- o VCAD-B1.C54 - Configuration files for VersaCAD 5.4
- o VCAD-B2.C54 initial set up.

- The setup procedure is as follows:
-
- 1/ Install VersaCAD on your hard disk, with EGA selected
- for Screen Configuration.
-
- 2/ Run VDRIVER.EXE and follow the instructions given by
- the program.
-
- 3/ You will be told to do initial setup for VersaCAD in
- order to incorporate the high resolution drivers.
- Simply follow as instructed.
-
- Note: If you cannot successfully completed the VersaCAD
- installation through VDRIVER because of an error during ENVIRO
- configuration, it is possible that the system memory is
- insufficient. Try the following steps:
-
- a. Go to the root directory that contains VersaCAD
- b. Type AVCAD.
- c. Select (E) Environment.
- d. Choose the desired graphic display e.g:
- Mode 54h, 800 x 600, 15 colors, single
-
- If you still cannot run the environment setup, remove any
- resident program and run VDRIVER again.
