- INSTALLATION
- ==============================================================================
-
- This software MUST be installed by using the INSTALL program that is
- located on the master diskette.
-
- Simply insert the master software disk into a floppy disk drive and enter the
- command:
-
- <d>:INSTALL<c/r>
-
- where <d> is the letter of the floppy disk drive containing
- the QUICKCACHE master diskette and <c/r> is the return key.
-
- Answer the questions presented throughout the installation procedure.
-
- The installation program will assist you in creating the proper directories
- and in modifying the DOS system files as appropriate. No modifications
- will be made to your system without your express approval. All proposed
- changes to system files will be displayed and highlighted for you to review
- before accepting them.
-
- Your target disk or diskette will need a minimum of 340,000 bytes of free
- space for the installed system.
-
- The master diskette should have the following files on it:
-
- DISKETTE 1
-
- READ.ME INSTALL.EXE Q001 Q002 Q003 Q004
- Q005 Q006 Q007 Q009 Q010 Q011
- Q012 Q013 Q014 Q000
-
- DISKETTE 2 (if 360kb diskettes)
-
- Q008 Q015 Q016 Q017 Q018 Q019
- Q020 Q021 Q022 Q023 Q024 Q025
- Q026 Q027 Q028 Q029
-
- Diskettes 1 and 2 may be merged onto a single diskette for systems with
- high capacity floppy disk drives.
-
- Be sure to read the file named: WHATS.NEW after the installation process
- for additions and errata information that may not appear in the main
- documentation.
-

-
- QMAP - document your system environment, a must if requesting
- assistance from us via CompuServe.
-
- QMEMTST - an excellent main and extended memory test.

- QLOC - file locator. This program searches all native hard disk
- drives for specified files.
-
- Simply answer 'Y' during the installation process if you desire to install
- any of these programs.
-
- ==============================================================================
- DOCUMENTATION
- ==============================================================================
-
- The documentation files are decompressed and placed on the drive and path
- that you have chosen for the installation only if you elect this option.
-
- The documentation files QCACHE.DOC and QBACK.DOC are intended to be printed
- on a standard printer. Formatting control characters imbedded within the
- files should be suitable for virtually any printer that you may choose to
- use. Simply enter "COPY QCACHE.DOC PRN" or "COPY QBACK.DOC PRN" at the DOS
- prompt at the end of the installation procedure to create these documents.
-
- QSORT.DOC, QMAP.DOC, and QLOC.DOC are smaller documentation files and may be
- viewed on your system console or printed on any printer.
-
- QMEMTST.DOC is a documentation file that contains standard IBM graphics
- characters. This file may be viewed on your system console, or printed
- on any printer that supports IBM graphics characters.
