- v0.0:
- The utility SHOW.EXE is something that I started writing some years ago,
- after I found out that DOS had some unpublished internal routines.
-
- I wrote code to reveal some DOS skeleton and used it personally for
- showing which programs were resident.
-
- v1.0:
- Several months after this first version, I upgraded the sources with some
- additional hardware check (I had these section in a seperate program and
- I integrated it into SHOW).
-
- v2.0:
- After some layout changes, they're all in table form right now, I saw an
- Intel 386 passing by, and wondered about the differences between processors...
- Well, this all lead to a processor test routine inside the hardware section
- of SHOW.
-
- v3.0:
- With so many fast machines available in advertisements, I wondered how much
- of this was claimed and how much was true.
- Speed test added into SHOW and there the release 3.6 was...
- After inclusion of speed information, there still was some need for detailed
- disk information, and then there was 3.9...
- Then, lots of coffee and several try-runs on different machines later,
- finally, 3.10 which performed (almost) correct for the DISK & DRIVE options.
