  1. COMMAND:  FDISK (Fixed Disk Setup)

  3. FUNCTION: Provides a menu driven facility for initializing fixed disks.
  4.           Partitions utilized by different operating systems may be created,
  5.           changed, deleted or displayed, and multiple fixed disks may be
  6.           defined to the system.

  8. FORMAT:   FDISK

  10. TYPE:     DOS external command
  11.  
  12. REMARKS:  FDISK must be run for the first time with a DOS diskette in drive A.
  13.           A new fixed disk is first partitioned with FDISK and then the DOS
  14.           partition is formatted with the FORMAT command to contain DOS.
  15.           Partitions that will contain other operating systems must be created
  16.           from those systems. A 10 mb fixed disk contains 305 cylinders
  17.           numbered 0-304 of 32k characters each. Deleting a partition destroys
  18.           all data in that partition.
