  1. COMMAND:  DISKCOMP (Compare Diskettes)

  3. FUNCTION: Compares the contents of the diskette in the first drive to that of
  4.           the diskette in the second drive.
  5.  
  6. FORMAT:   DISKCOMP [d: [d:]] [/1][/8]

  8. TYPE:     DOS external command
  9.  
  10. REMARKS:  /1 forces the comparison to be made only on the first side of the
  11.           diskette.
  12.           /8 forces the comparison to be made only on 8 sectors per track.
  13.           The comparison is made on a track by track basis for all 40 tracks,
  14.           and mismatches are indicated by track and side number. The same
  15.           drive may be used to campare two diskettes, in which case you are
  16.           prompted for insertion of each diskette as appropriate. A fixed
  17.           disk may not be specified as one of the drives. The number of sides
  18.           and sectors to be compared is determined automatically from the first
  19.           diskette, if these parameters are not specified in the command.
