- COMMAND: DISKCOMP (Compare Diskettes)
-
- FUNCTION: Compares the contents of the diskette in the first drive to that of
- the diskette in the second drive.
-
- FORMAT: DISKCOMP [d: [d:]] [/1][/8]
-
- TYPE: DOS external command
-
- REMARKS: /1 forces the comparison to be made only on the first side of the
- diskette.
- /8 forces the comparison to be made only on 8 sectors per track.
- The comparison is made on a track by track basis for all 40 tracks,
- and mismatches are indicated by track and side number. The same
- drive may be used to campare two diskettes, in which case you are
- prompted for insertion of each diskette as appropriate. A fixed
- disk may not be specified as one of the drives. The number of sides
- and sectors to be compared is determined automatically from the first
- diskette, if these parameters are not specified in the command.
