  3. FUNCTION: Displays or changes the current date on the system clock.

  5. FORMAT:   DATE [mm-dd-yy]![dd-mm-yy]![yy-mm-dd]

  7. TYPE:     DOS internal command

  9. REMARKS:  mm, dd, and yy are the current month, day and year and are entered
  10.           in whichever format is defined by the COUNTRY option in the
  11.           CONFIG.SYS configuration file.  Omitting the date causes DOS to
  12.           display the current date and to prompt for entry of a new date.  The
  13.           valid delimiters within the date are hyphens(-) and slashes(/).
  14.           Entries are checked for validity and are rejected if they are
  15.           invalid.  The date is recorded in the directory of any files later
  16.           created.
