- COMMAND: DATE
-
- FUNCTION: Displays or changes the current date on the system clock.
-
- FORMAT: DATE [mm-dd-yy]![dd-mm-yy]![yy-mm-dd]
-
- TYPE: DOS internal command
-
- REMARKS: mm, dd, and yy are the current month, day and year and are entered
- in whichever format is defined by the COUNTRY option in the
- CONFIG.SYS configuration file. Omitting the date causes DOS to
- display the current date and to prompt for entry of a new date. The
- valid delimiters within the date are hyphens(-) and slashes(/).
- Entries are checked for validity and are rejected if they are
- invalid. The date is recorded in the directory of any files later
- created.
