  1. ZGEN v1.22 is an file and archive management program for MS-DOS based
  2. systems. Currently, ZGEN supports .ZIP, .LZH, .ARC .PAK and .SDN
  3. archives. ZGEN features a no-nonsense directory display and
  4. subdirectory tree display.  ZGEN also supports a mouse.

  6. ZGEN requires at least MS-DOS 3.0,
  7. A listing program, such as LIST.COM,
  8. PKZIP.EXE/PKUNZIP.EXE for .ZIP archive management,
  9. LHARC.EXE for .LZH archive management,
  10. PAK.EXE for .ARC and .PAK archive management

  12. Functions of ZGEN

  14. deleting files, copying files, moving files, creating archives,
  15. printing files with support for the MS-DOS background printer
  16. PRINT.COM, creating and editing 4dos compatible file descriptions,
  17. altering file attributes, viewing files, executing programs and batch
  18. files, and more.  ZGEN can swap to XMS, EMS or disk while executing
  19. external programs.
