- PK -- A menu system for PKZIP and PKUNZIP from PKWARE
-
- The PKZIP programs work quickly, but require a large number of command-line
- parameters. If a large number of files are to be ZIPPED, an ASCII file can be
- created, but this requires use of another program.
-
- PK is a menu system designed to access the most commonly used functions of the
- program.
-
- The ZIP menu allows the user to select a directory on the hard drive and ZIP all
- or selected files. The program allows the user to pick from a list, then builds
- an ASCII file for the ZIP program to use. It then runs the PKZIP program and
- returns to its own menu.
-
- The UNZIP program allows the user to UNZIP one file, all files or any number
- while using wildcards.
-
- The view menu allows the user to see the contents of a ZIP file. It is somewhat
- slow, but eliminates much of the clutter in other ZIP viewers.
-
- PK does not pretend to tap into the full powers of the PKZIP programs, but it
- does program a quick way to perform routine functions.
-
- The program is offered free, but comments and suggestions are encouraged via the
- Exec-PC Board in Milwaukee.
-
- The program requires that PK, PKZIP and PKUNZIP all be in the same directory.
