- This .ZIP is to replace the LZESHELL.EXE and LZESHL21.DOC files I uploaded
- earlier 7/16/90. I didn't realize you did not support batch when I began so
- I logged off after 2 files and zipped them together.
-
- The files included are:
- 1) LZEXE.EXE & DOC v.91 - your utility listing says you have this version
- but, just in case, I included it since I
- know that is the version I have and it is
- required by the LZESHELL user interface.
- 2) LZESHELL & DOC v2.1 - ENGLISH shell program for LZEXE which also
- integrates COMTOEXE and UPACKEXE to make
- usage a breeze. Except for command-line
- interface, if you use a shell or menu pgm
- this won't be a problem, this is a great
- help to LZEXE use.
- 3) COMTOEXE & DOC - Converts .COM files to .EXE files for compression
- by LZEXE - yes it's that good. Automatically
- called by LZESHELL if you feed it a .COM file.
- Orig .COM file is left on disk - just creates
- an .EXE version of pgm.
- 4) UPACKEXE & DOC - Unpacks Microsoft EXEPACKed files, if they are
- found to be packed, before passing to LZEXE
- when you use LZESHELL as your interface. Asks
- before proceeding, saves orig .EXE as .OPK,
- saves unpacked as .OLD so you'll have 3 versions
- on your disk, if it was packed, instead of 2.
- 5) ISLZEXE & DOC - Checks .EXE file to see if compressed by LZEXE
- 6) UNLZEXE.EXE - Un-LZEXE a file...don't know if it works correctly
- or not...came from SYDEX BBS, I think.
-
- Recommend you use some shell or menu system to allow user to navigate the
- disk and pass selected file to LZSHELL on command line. I use Stereo Shell
- and it's great. Terrific group of utilities and kudos to LZESHELL author.
