  3. NEW ADDITIONS TO ARCTOOL Version 5.5

  7. With this new version, I have added the LZH code to handle the ever more
  8. popular LHARC compressions.
  9.  
  10. By popular request, I have added the ability to JUST load the archives on
  11. a particular subdirectory.  Just enter AT \subdirectory at the command line,
  12. and ONLY the archives in that subdirectory will be displayed.  Once inside
  13. ARCTOOL, if you decide that you want a new subdirectory, just use the NONAME
  14. entry to tell ARCTOOL which directory.  Obviously, if you specify the ROOT
  15. directory, then ALL of the archives will be displayed.

  17. Also added is a NEW view function.  It is very powerful.  Once inside the
  18. view utility, press 'F1' to see all of the features.  You can even look at
  19. other files on your disk which are not part of the archive.  TRY IT !!

  21. PROBLEMS GETTING ARCTOOL TO WORK
  22.  
  23. It is VERY important the FIRST time that you use ARCTOOL to go through the
  24. setup procedure. At the opening screen, press the slash ('/') key and then
  25. the 'T' key.  You MUST enter through EACH item, and tell ARCTOOL where you
  26. compression program are located !!!!!  If you experience trouble getting
  27. ARCTOOL to view or extract, this is because for SOME reason, it is NOT
  28. outputing the CORRECT command to your compression program.  Do the setup
  29. procedure, and this should fix your problem.  99% of the problems that
  30. users have had are caused by NOT DOING THE SETUP !!!!
