  3. (Randolph, MA)  Delivery of faxes is now cheaper than mail - and much 
  4. easier - thanks to a service from Xpedite Systems, Inc.

  6. Xpedite offers businesses and professionals the ability to use personal
  7. computers to send one or many faxes.  The service accepts input directly
  8. from all major word processing programs, keeping the special print
  9. characteristics such as bolding and underlining.  Additionally, high-quality
  10. graphics can be sent from a PC in either Epson-compatible or PostScript
  11. formats.

  13. "Xpedite is especially valuable for sending a single fax to multiple
  14. recipients", said Paul J. Wilczynski from Krislyn Computer Services, a
  15. marketing representative of Xpedite.  "You can send a multiple page fax
  16. to several hundred machines in minutes", continued Wilczynski. "Contrast that
  17. with another technological solution - the fax board.  Using a board would
  18. tie up your computer for hours ... and you would constantly have to monitor 
  19. the transmission.  With Xpedite, you simply send it once, and it gets 
  20. delivered.  Xpedite will even automatically send you back a list indicating 
  21. when faxes were delivered and why undeliverable faxes failed".

  23. The PC software provided with the service allows users to enter multiple
  24. lists of recipient fax numbers ahead of time.  This allows a fax to go out
  25. quickly when an actual message is ready for distribution.  The software
  26. also completely automates the delivery of the fax.

  28. Xpedite is also available to businesses which have a fax machine but no PC.
  29. Subscribers simply fax a list of recipients to Xpedite, which stores it on
  30. their computer.  Later, when an actual fax is to be sent, it's simply faxed
  31. once to Xpedite along with the name of the list.  Xpedite then handles all
  32. deliveries and faxes a summary of the delivery back to the sender.

  34. "Xpedite has many uses", noted Wilczynski.  "It can be used to distribute price
  35. lists, newsletters, updates to technical manuals.  Virtually anything that
  36. can be sent from a fax machine can be delivered more quickly and easily
  37. using Xpedite".

  39. Several delivery options are offered.  Faxes are normally delivered within
  40. minutes, but can be deferred for night-time delivery at a lower rate.

  42. Xpedite can deliver faxes for as little as $.20 per page.
