  5. ABOUT SVS: 
  6.  
  7. Shenandoah   Valley   Software  is  made  up  of  several  individuals   doing 
  8. professional  programming  both in the shareware and commercial  markets.   In 
  9. addition,   we  do  freelance  programming for local  businesses  as  well  as 
  10. consulting and training.

  13. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: 
  14.  
  15. As  a  program is being developed we need from time to time have  comments  on 
  16. what  we are programming.  The software that you may be beta testing could  be 
  17. either commercial, shareware or contract. 
  18.  
  19. Basically, this is what will happen. When a program is started that we feel we 
  20. may need the assistance of beta testers,  you will be notified by mail of  the 
  21. possibility.  In addition,   you will receive a brief explaination of what the 
  22. program will do and what market it will be released in.  If you are interested 
  23. in  being a beta tester for the package,  simply sign the form that  you  will 
  24. receive with the letter and mail it back to us. From then on, whenever we need 
  25. input  we will send you everything you need to evaluate the package.  In  some 
  26. cases this may only be a questionnaire.  It should be noted that your services 
  27. may not actually be needed for several months after notification.

  30. WHAT YOU GET OUT OF IT:

  32. 1) You can use us as a reference on job application or resumes. Since you will 
  33. be testing professional programs, this should certainly look good. 
  34.  
  35. 2)  In our final documentation,  you will receive due credit to any and/or all 
  36. input you may have made during the debugging and testing process. 
  37.  
  38. 3)  If the package is either commercial or shareware,  you will receive a free 
  39. copy  of the final package complete with printed documentation,   registration 
  40. and anything else that may accompany it. 
  41.  
  42. 4)  Finally,  as a SVS beta tester,  you will receive a 15%   discount on  any 
  43. product or service that SVS may offer.

  46. WHAT IS REQUIRED OF YOU:

  48. Once you sign the acceptance form, it is expected that you fill out and return 
  49. all  documentation  sent  to you regarding the beta package you  are  testing. 
  50. Failure to do so may cause you to be dropped as a beta tester for that package 
  51. or even completely. As a minimum you will loose the advantage of items 2 and 3 
  52. listed above.

  54. When  ever you receive a beta package from us it will contain as a  minimum  a 
  55. description of what has taken place since the last package and a questionnaire 
  56. to  be filled out.  In most cases it will also contain a diskette (your choice 
  57. of  5.25"  or 3.5")   with a copy of the program to date as  well  as  printed 
  58. documentation.

  60. Once you have returned the acceptance form, you may input opinions at any time 
  61. without us contacting you first. This may be done by mail or by message on the 
  62. Mayor's Mansion BBS.   Exception:  whenever in receipt of a beta package,  the 
  63. questionnaire must be mailed. At all other times, the BBS may be used.
