  4. This archive contains the limited version of Mathomatic, the algebraic
  5. manipulator.  A tutorial program is included which contains some interesting
  6. information and a demonstration section is included at the end.
  7.  
  8. The limited version of Mathomatic has been incorporated into the tutorial
  9. program to eliminate duplicated code.  This reduced the size of this archive
  10. by 50%.  The limited version is now more powerful than any previous limited
  11. versions and is now fully functional.

  13. This archive may be freely distributed as long as none of the files inside
  14. are modified or missing.

  16. The files that should be in the archive are:

  18. ADV.TXT        Advertisement and description of Mathomatic.
  19. AMTUTOR.EXE    The Mathomatic tutorial, demo, and limited program.
  20. ORDER.FRM    The Mathomatic order form.
  21. README        This file.

  23. To run the tutorial, type in "amtutor" at the DOS prompt.  If you have
  24. a color computer and you have the "ANSI.SYS" driver loaded, you can see
  25. how Mathomatic works in color by typing "amtutor -c" at the DOS prompt.
  26. In color mode, Mathomatic outputs ANSI escape sequences to make each level
  27. of parentheses a different color.  To execute the limited version of
  28. Mathomatic, select it from the tutorial main menu.

  30. You must have at least 512K of memory in your computer to run Mathomatic.
  31. Mathomatic runs on all IBM-PC and IBM-PC/AT compatibles with the MS-DOS
  32. operating system.

  34. The number of equation spaces and the equation size are limited in this
  35. limited version of Mathomatic.

  37. Mathomatic is written in Microsoft C V5.1, is self-testing, and strictly
  38. follows the rules of algebra.  So you will never get a wrong answer with
  39. Mathomatic!

  43. Registered users get the full sized version of Mathomatic with hardcopy
  44. manual.  The full sized version has twice the number of equation spaces
  45. and allows equations four times as big.  And it can be executed directly
  46. from the DOS command line.

  52.   2) Fill it out.
