  3. Thank you for agreeing to help with the evaluation of this 
  4. experimental source code debugger for Turbo Pascal.
  5.  
  6. Because this debugger must extract the symbol table and obtain 
  7. statement offsets from TURBO.COM, it is very sensitive to small 
  8. variations or changes in TURBO.COM.  Therefore before spending 
  9. much time with the documentation, you should verify that TURBODBG 
  10. and your version of TURBO.COM are compatible.  Check to see that 
  11. your TURBO signon message indicates IBM-PC Version 3.00B.

  13. A further check should be made by preparing a disk (or directory) 
  14. containing DBG??.COM, TURBO.COM, and TURBO.MSG.  At the DOS 
  15. prompt, call up DBG??.COM.  After a brief signon message, you 
  16. should find yourself in Turbo Pascal with everything working as 
  17. if you had loaded TURBO.COM.  A message, 'Incorrect TURBO.COM 
  18. version', will indicate a non compatible version.

  20. Once you pass this hurdle, you should proceed to read DBG23.DOC 
  21. for instructions in the use of TURBODBG.

  23. At this stage, TURBODBG is experimental.  Please report any 
  24. problems, comments, suggestions, and especially if it doesn't 
  25. work with your TURBO.COM to me at Compuserve ID 76327,53.
