  4. Welcome to "HyperLink" by BGASoft. This help file
  5. will give you a very brief tour of the program.  It
  6. is provided for two reasons.  One, it introduces
  7. you the features of the program; and two, you may
  8. refer to the format of the help file "HyperLNK.TXT"
  9. when you are ready to create your own.

  19. Program operation is very much like that of the
  20. "Turbo Pascal" help facility.  The following keys
  21. are defined:  [F1], [Up], [Down], [Home], [End],
  22. [PgUp] and [PgDn].
  23.  
  24. You should be familiar with the operation of all of
  25. these keys.  Keep in mind however that pressing
  26. [F1] key at any time will bring you back to the
  27. screen associated with the "Main Menu" keyword.

  34. This help unit is very simple to use. Incorporating
  35. this Unit into your Pascal file is as simple as
  36. adding the  "Uses HyperLNK"  statement to your
  37. program.  You may then call the help procedure at
  38. any point in your program.  All of the necessary
  39. links to your help keywords will be placed in the
  40. actual help file.  Once you have learned how to
  41. create this text file, you will be off and running.

  47. can quickly access any help keyword.  This section
  48. is simply included to show you that the [PgUp] and
  49. [PgDn] keys may also be used.

  252. Creating the Index file
  253.  
  254. Once you have finished setting up the Help file,
  255. you are then ready to make the index file.  This is
  256. accomplished by running the "HyperNDX.EXE" program.
  257. When you execute this program, each keyword will be
  258. listed on the screen as it is encountered.   The
  259. keyword's location in the HyperLNK.TXT file will
  260. also be shown.  This information is stored in the
  261. file "HyperLNK.NDX" for later use by the HyperLNK
  262. unit.

  264. Remember!  You must run the HyperNDX program any
  265. time you make a change to the HyperLNK.TXT file.
  266. Otherwise, the index file will become obsolete and
  267. the HyperLNK unit will no longer operate as
  268. anticipated.
