  1. Now the LORD had shown unto me, Abraham, the intelligences that were
  2. organized before the world was; and among all these were many noble
  3. and great ones;
  4.               And God saw these souls that they were good, and he
  5. stood in the midst of them, and he said: These I will make my rulers;
  6. for he stood among those that were spirits, and he saw that they were
  7. good; and he said unto me: Abraham, thou art one of them; thou wast
  8. chosen before thou wast born.

  10. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare,
  11. if thou hast understanding.
  12. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or
  13. who laid the corner stone thereof;
  14.  When the Morning Stars sang together, and all the Sons of God shouted
  15. for joy?
  16.  
  17. Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was:
  18. and the spirit shall return unto the God who gave it.
  19.  
  20. Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
  21. Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and be-
  22. fore thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee,
  23. and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
  24.  
  25. In hope of eternal life, which God that cannot lie, prom-
  26. ised before the world began.
  27.  
  28. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and
  29. we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto
  30. the Father of Spirits, and live?
  31.  
  32. The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, be-
  33. fore his works of old.
  34.    I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or
  35. ever the earth was.
  36.    When there were no depths, I was brought forth, when
  37. there were no fountains abounding with water.
  38.    Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was
  39. I brought forth.
  40.   While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields,
  41. nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
  42.   When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he
  43. set a compass upon the face of the depth:
  44.   When he established the clouds above: when he
  45. strengthened the fountains of the deep:
  46.   When he gave the sea his decree, that the waters
  47. should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the
  48. foundations of the earth:
  49.    Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily
  50. his delight, rejoicing always before him;
  51.    Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my
  52. delights were with the Sons of Men.

  54.            Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting;
  55.            The soul that rises with us, our life's star
  56.              Hath had elsewhere its setting
  57.                And commeth from afar;
  58.              Not in entire forgetfulness,
  59.                And not in utter nakedness,
  60.            But trailing clouds of glory do we come
  61.              From God, who is our home.

  64.   If I have told you earthly things,
  65.   and ye believe not, how shall ye
  66.   believe, if I tell you heavenly
  67.   things ?
  68.   And no man hath ascended up
  69.   to heaven, but he that came down
  70.   from heaven, even the Son of man
