  9.      df - show free disk space
  10.  
  11. SYNOPSIS
  12.      df [ -f ] [ -d ] [ -? | -h ] [ d: ]
  13.  
  14. DESCRIPTION
  15.      Df displays a space usage statistic for storage  devices.  A
  16.      storage  device  is  a  floppy  diskette, a hard disk, a RAM
  17.      disk, or any other device you can store your  files  on.  If
  18.      you happen to have more than one partition on a storage dev-
  19.      ice  each  partition  is  reported  independently.    Drives
  20.      'join'ed  to  another drive's subdirectory are reported with
  21.      their real characteristics, unlike MS-D*S 'dir' and 'chkdsk'
  22.      command.

  24.      The output consists of columns showing  total  device  space
  25.      and  currently available free space in bytes, amount of free
  26.      space expressed in percent of total space, and at  last  the
  27.      drive designator for the device. The following is an example
  28.      output:

  37. OPTIONS
  38.      -f   By default, floppy diskettes  aren't  included  in  the
  39.           report  for speed reasons. With the '-f' switch you can
  40.           cause the program the investigate the floppy  or  flop-
  41.           pies  as well. If you don't have a floppy in the drive,
  42.           Df continues without an error message.
  43.  
  44.      -d   If, for whatever reason, you don't want to include  the
  45.           harddisks in the output, include the '-d' switch on the
  46.           command line.

  48.      d:   You can direct Df to only display the  space  statistic
  49.           for drive 'd:'.
