  1. Available for DOS and UNIX/XENIX, the new VEDIT family of text editors
  2. includes VEDIT Jr., VEDIT and VEDIT PLUS.  Ideal for program development and
  3. word processing, they offer exceptional speed, flexibility and intuitive
  4. operation.

  6. Common features include pull-down menus with "hot keys", mouse support,
  7. context sensitive help, pop-up ASCII table, a configurable keyboard and
  8. flexible, unlimited keystroke macros.  Edit text and binary files of any size
  9. and line length of up to 8000 characters/line.  Undo up to 1000 keystrokes -
  10. keystroke by keystroke, line by line or deletion by deletion.  Automatic
  11. indent, parentheses matching and other special features speed program
  12. development.  Word processing includes word wrap, paragraph formatting,
  13. justification, adjustable margins and printing.  Run DOS programs.  Perform
  14. block operations by character, line, file or column.

  16. VEDIT can simultaneously edit up to 36 files and split the screen into
  17. windows.  Search/replace with regular expressions.  Extensive and integrated
  18. support of popular compilers and assemblers with automatic error tracking.
  19. Supports MAKE utilities.

  21. VEDIT PLUS adds a powerful macro programming language which eliminates
  22. repetitive editing tasks and permits creating your own editing functions.  The
  23. macro language includes testing, branching, looping, user prompts, keyboard
  24. input, string and numeric variables and control over windows.  Interactive
  25. macro debugging with breakpoints and tracing.  Macros developed with VEDIT
  26. PLUS will also run under VEDIT.

  28. The VEDIT Family editors support the IBM PC, XT, AT, PS/2 and clones with CGA,
  29. MGA, EGA, VGA, Wyse 700, Amdek 1280 and other displays.  The IBM PC version
  30. also supports Concurrent DOS, DESQview, Microsoft Windows, PC-MOS/386 and most
  31. networks.

  33. A generic MS-DOS version runs on non-IBM type computers and on CRT terminals
  34. connected to an IBM PC via serial lines and modems.

  36. The UNIX/XENIX version supports most variations of UNIX running on Intel
  37. 80286/80386/80486 processors.

  39. The VEDIT family is also available for the FlexOS and IBM 4680 operating
  40. systems.  A version for Quantum QNX and a special mode to emulate "vi" 100%
  41. will be available in October 1990.  Support for OS/2 is also planned.  Please
