  26. .   Blackbeard is a programmer's editor.  It performs the
  27. .editing tasks a programmer needs, in as fast and efficient
  28. .manner as possible.  It works the way you expect it to.  The
  29. .primary use for Blackbeard is for source code editing and it
  30. .does all the things you would expect.  It also has some word
  31. .processing features; these were used to create this
  32. .documentation.

  34. .Distribution and Registration

  36. .   Software copyright violation is rampant.  This is why we
  37. .have created Blackbeard.  Because Blackbeard is a superior
  38. .text editor and available for free distribution, there should
  39. .be little need to pirate copyrighted software to obtain
  40. .advanced text editing features.  Please feel free to give
  41. .Blackbeard to your friends.  We are counting on you as a
  42. .participant in the largest distribution network in the nation
  43. .(the owners and users of PCs) to make Blackbeard a popular

  285. .   A mouse is a productive device for cursor movement and
  286. .command selection.  The mouse makes interaction with the
  287. .screen simpler, faster, and more spontaneous.
  288. .
  289. .   Moving the mouse is as natural as moving your hand.  As you
  290. .move the mouse, the cursor moves on the screen.
  291. .
  292. .   The right button on the mouse calls up the menu.  The left
  293. .button selects items.  The pop-up menu is is placed at the
  294. .cursor location, your eye's focal point.  The menu is the
  295. .inverse color of the current window.  The menu item currently
  296. .selected is the color of the current window.
  297. .
  298. .   When the cursor is positioned over a menu item, pressing
  299. .the left button selects a command.
  300. .
  301. .   The right button on the mouse escapes from the menu without
  302. .selecting an item.  This button also returns to the main mouse
  303. .menu from within a sub-menu.

  305. .   Blackbeard now includes an INTEGRAL MOUSE DRIVER for the
  306. .Microsoft Mouse.  The mouse will be automatically available,
  307. .if the Mouse driver is loaded.  These buttons correspond to
  308. .Blackbeard commands.
