- QFREE v1.0 - shows free space on all drives
- =======================================================================
- copr. 1989, Dave Williams
-
- QFREE is intended for use by BBS or network operators with several drives.
- When moving files on a large system, it is often hard to keep track of how
- much space is available on each drive. QFREE tells you *fast*.
-
- Type "QFREE [d]" to invoke QFREE, where [d] is the letter of the last
- logical drive on your system. If you omit the drive letter, QFREE aborts
- with a help message. QFREE's output may be redirected to a disk file by
- typing "QFREE [d] > MYFILE".
-
- A future version of QFREE may automatically detect the number of drives.
- Unfortunately, each method I've tried gets confused about nonstandard devices
- such as RAMdisks or Disk Manager partitions. Typing the last drive letter will
- do for now. A letter higher than an actual drive will cause a long wait before
- DOS times out.
-
- QFREE works with network drives, Disk Manager non-DOS partitions, and
- anything else that has a standard FAT structure and a logical drive letter.
- This version takes 4k of RAM.
