  9.         THIS UPLOAD  should contain HALLFAME.TXT, README.HOF and this
  10.         └─────────┘  SYSOP.NOT, plus a FILE_ID.DIZ and the Freeware
  11.         Hall of Fame Logo (which probably got wiped.)

  14.         UPDATES  will always be named HOFmmyy.ZIP and there will
  15.         └─────┘  never be two in one month.  By all means delete any
  16.         old editions when a new one comes along.  Nominations to the
  17.         Freeware Hall of Fame are always encouraged and new editions
  18.         are cumulative, with all the old entries plus the new ones.

  31.         SOMETHING FOR  The FHOF now operates a PCB BBS which makes
  32.         │  SYSOPS   │  HOF Freeware programs available to Sysops.
  33.         └───────────┘  Conference 3 has 116 (or more) ZIP packets.
  34.         These are yours free to download anytime you choose.  You can
  35.         select them individually, as a batch of up to 40 at a time, or
  36.         take them all in one humongous 3.6-meg packet which also
  37.         contains a PCBoard directory holding full descriptions.

  39.         That's a big download, but visiting Sysops are given all the
  40.         time needed. You can use the programs to provide a DIR for the
  41.         ON-LINE FHOF on your Board or disperse the files through your
  42.         file base by usage.  It's free. The FHOF never charges.

  45.         TO GET IT  Our BBS operates 24 hrs a day, 7 days, using a USR
  46.         └───────┘  dual standard.  The 3.6 meg OLHOF.ZIP file takes
  47.         about 32 minutes at 1600 cps.  804-293-4710. Downloads enabled

  51.         NO ADS OR  New policy on comments.  We use a FHOF Logo on all
  52.         COMMENTS?  our files now.  You probably automatically strip
  53.         └───────┘  comments off.  So do we on uploads to our Board.
  54.         SOTA today for us all.  We request as strongly as possible
  55.         that no ads, BBS or otherwise, be placed in our packets.  If
  56.         you ever find one please let us know.  We'll report the
  57.         offender in future editions of this index packet.

  60.         ZIPPED &  Programs are tested, scanned with McAfee's current
  61.         SCANNED?  SCAN, and compressed under maximum compression with
  62.         └──────┘  PKZIP 1.10 before going out. We do not use -AV.  We
  63.         do not plan to use PKZIP Ver 2xx unless it becomes compatible
  64.         with PKUNZIP 1.10 which it isn't as of this date.
