  3.      Let me take a moment of your time to introduce two distribution
  4. methods we offer to Shareware Authors.  Shareable Software International
  5. is a Publisher Member of the ASP, and markets Flexibak PLUS - Hard Disk
  6. Backup, ActaeOn - Hard Disk Manager, SmartCat - Windows Floppy Disk
  7. Cataloger, Stellar Defense - Space Action Arcade Game, and others.  In
  8. our efforts to gain the widest possible distribution for our products,
  9. we upload to over 140 BBSs (non-ASP) and mail disks to the growing number
  10. (330+) of ASP BBS members.  We would like to offer you the opportunity
  11. to cut your distribution costs, by using our services.
  12.  
  13.      The cost to participate in the ASP BBS Mailing is $.20 per 100k
  14. increment of your archived program.  You must include a FILE_ID.DIZ in
  15. your archive.  This is an ASCII file, 45 characters per line, maximum of
  16. 10 lines.  We also recommend including a version number in your archive
  17. name, ie. FLEXP250.ZIP (Flexibak Plus, v2.50), SC11.ZIP (SmartCat v1.1),
  18. etc.  We also recommend getting the "meat" of your archive description,
  19. to include version number, in the first 4 lines of the FILE_ID.DIZ, as
  20. some BBSs only allow 4 line descriptions, but, use all 10 lines if you
  21. can.  We require a deposit for 300 BBSs, and we will invoice you for the
  22. rest, as the number changes every month.  The is an all or nothing option.
  23. When completed, you will be sent an invoice and a listing that includes
  24. the name, address, and BBS modem number of where your file was sent.  We
  25. WILL be combining the archives onto one or more disks.  The frequency
  26. is every two weeks, and the cutoff for each mailing is 5 days prior to
  27. the mailing.  The dates will be the 15th and 30th of the month, allowing
  28. + or - two days for weekends if needed.

  30.      The cost for the upload service is $.50 for the first 70k, and $.25
  31. for each additional 70k, per BBS.  These are BBSs that are NOT ASP BBS
  32. members, so we do not overlap with the mailing service.  There is also
  33. an additional $5.00 set up fee.  We can also post a "Just Released" type of
  34. message on most of the systems we upload to.  The cost for message uploading
  35. is $.25 per BBS. We require a deposit for the first 100 BBSs.  We will
  36. invoice you for the number exceeding 100, and for the message uploading
  37. if you choose it.  The message text should be no longer than 70 characters
  38. per line, and 10 lines maximum.  This message should be on the disk
  39. outside of the archive.  Make sure to include the FILE_ID.DIZ in your
  40. archive here too.  Frequency of the BBS uploading is constant.  Once we
  41. get your disk, the upload will begin within three days, and be completed
  42. within 10 days.  Once completed, we will send you an invoice, and the BBS
  43. name and modem number, sorted by area code, of where your file was
  44. uploaded to.  You can expect your list within approximately 2 weeks of
  45. our getting your disk.

  50. added.  If you want to use plastic, you can upload your file to Runway BBS,

  52. will get started right away.

  54.      Speaking of Runway BBS...we have been using Runway for our Support
  55. BBS (we have our own conference, free first time downloads, etc.) for 2
  56. years and highly recommend it.  Give it a call and look around, 215-623-6203,

  58. is the Sysop, and the BBS is up to 15 nodes and growing.  Ray is happy to
  59. offer support conferences to Shareware Authors (for a fee of course), and
