- The Boston Computer Society's Xbase User Group is proud to present two
- articles devoted to better memory managment and improved use of arrays.
-
- The articles have both been written by Roger Donnay of Donnay Software
- Designs, 20251 Acacia Street, Santa Ana, California 92707 USA. Roger is
- the author of dClip and is a frequent and respected speaker at developer's
- conferences around the world.
-
-
- MEMORY.DOC is a tutorial on Clipper memory management that aids
- the Clipper programmer in combining the best programming and
- linking techniques to produce the optimum speed to memory
- performance ratio in large Clipper applications. These techniques
- were employed in dCLIP.EXE version 3.0 to produce a memory load
- image of only 317k with a physical .EXE size of over 1.2mb.
-
-
- ARRAY.DOC is an introspective on Clipper 5.0 multidimensional arrays
- that helps the Clipper programmer understand the nature, evolution
- and behavior of this very powerful array system. Learn how to use
- arrays properly and how array usage affects memory management.
- Includes source code for a different kind of array browser and
- for saving/restoring arrays to/from disk.
