Max Module is a full new Max Payne mod, a facelift of the original game. We have tried to create an alternative for playing the game in a better ambiance and with more feeling.
The mod contains
- Complete new menu backgrounds.
- A new Module Level Selector (any difficulty, part or chapter)
- A new original Max Payne skin
- Full implemented new weapons (Colt1911, H&K Mp5, AK47 Kalashnjikov)
- New weapons textures
- New gameplay parameters
- Better ammo and firepower calibration
- Modified HUD
- New graphic effects
- New sound effects
You probably know the new weapons ( it is not our design ), but they behave differently than what you`ve seen before. Colt1911 is a powerful pistol, is more accurate than the Beretta and has a good fire rate. In dual variant it is probably the best pistol in the game. H&K Mp5 is a light submachine gun with a very high fire rate and a medium accuracy. In dual variant has more fire power than the Colt Commando or the Jackhammer. AK47 Kalashnjikov is a very powerful machinegun, with a good fire rate and precision.
We hope that we have created a balanced and realistic arsenal for the game. You can activate the new weapons from the console whit "GetModuleWeapons" command or you can pick them up in the game levels (some of them). If you save the game, the weapons will remain active and you can play then without the console. To receive ammo for the new weapons type "GetModuleAmmo" in the console. The H&K Mp5 and AK47 Kalashnjikov uses the same ammo as the Colt Commando. The Colt1911 uses the same ammo as the Desert Eagle.
Note: In console mode a line is visible on the right side of the screen. Press F12 to make the li1ne disappear.
Note: In console mode you will have all difficulties available in the "New Game" menu.
Note: We didn't find any compatibility issues with the old saves.
Note: This mod can affect the game performance on slower computers. Reduce details to increase game speed.
We have create all the new effects, sounds and textures from this mod. Fell free to use anything, but please contact us if you do so. If you encounter any problems, errors or bugs please notify us.
Special thanks to Ultimate-MOD Team for the weapons (Colt1911, HKMp5, AK47). We personalized the textures and fire parameters.
Install Notes
=============
- Decompres the Module.zip archive with WinZIP or WinAce (www.winzip.com; www.winace.com).
- Copy the "Module.mpm" and "Module.bat" files in your Max Payne folder (the folder where "MaxPayne.exe" is located).
- Run the game through "Module.bat" (to activate the console).
- In the dialog window, select "Module" from the "Customized Game" menu at the bottom.
- In the game press F12 key to activate the console (the console has 3 modes - cycle them whit F12) and type "GetModuleWeapons". You will have now the new weapons.
Note: The mod contains 147 files in 60 directories. The archive has only 1.1 MB.
